We are thrilled to share that Friends of Trevor United (FTU), Communication Workers of America (CWA), and The Trevor Project have reached an agreement on our bargaining unit. This means we will be moving forward with a neutral count of our bargaining units union authorization cards.
What does card counting mean?
A designated neutral third-party will count the union authorization cards our members have signed and determine whether we have a simple majority (50% + 1 of the bargaining unit).
On the condition we do (and we do by a wide margin), Trevor leadership has agreed to voluntarily recognize our union.
Next Steps
We are working diligently to establish a neutral party to review and count our cards in the upcoming week and hope to have more updates real soon.
This is good news! While there is much more work on the horizon, we are excited to be stepping into this next phase of the journey.
